Description

A quick, cheap, and delicious lunch hack that recreates the taste of a Big Mac in a portable wrap format using ground beef, special sauce, and fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 blend)
  • 4 Large Flour Tortillas (burrito size)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 head Iceberg Lettuce (finely shredded)
  • 1/2 Red Onion (finely diced)
  • 4–6 Dill Pickle Chips
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon White Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet Dill Pickle Relish
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Paprika
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, white vinegar, pickle relish, garlic powder, and paprika to make the special sauce. Set aside.
  2. Shred the iceberg lettuce and finely dice the red onion. Slice pickles into thin chips if not using chips.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and break it apart with a spatula.
  4. Season beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and no pink remains. Drain excess grease if necessary, but leave a little for flavor.
  5. Warm tortillas in the same skillet for 10-15 seconds per side until pliable. Stack and cover with a towel.
  6. Lay a tortilla flat and spread a generous layer of special sauce in the center, leaving a border.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the sauce, followed by the hot ground beef.
  8. Top with shredded lettuce, diced onion, and pickle chips.
  9. Fold the bottom of the tortilla up, fold in the sides, and roll tightly towards the top.
  10. Cut diagonally if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, keep ingredients cold until assembly to create a textural contrast. Ensure lettuce and onions are dry to prevent soggy wraps. The sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
