Description
A budget-friendly, easy-to-make breakfast or dessert using canned biscuits, brown sugar, and cinnamon. This sticky, pull-apart bread mimics the flavor of cinnamon rolls and can be prepared in under 15 minutes of prep time.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans large flaky refrigerated biscuits
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a 9-inch Bundt pan or springform pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- Open biscuit cans and separate into individual rounds. Cut each round into quarters and place pieces in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Pour over biscuit pieces and toss until evenly coated.
- Arrange coated biscuit pieces in the prepared pan. Pour melted butter evenly over the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Cover loosely with foil if top browns too quickly.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and salt to make the glaze.
- Place a serving plate over the pan, hold firmly, and flip quickly to release the bread. Drizzle with glaze and serve warm.
Notes
Ensure biscuits are cut, not torn, for even cooking. Do not skip the 10-minute cooling period to prevent the bread from falling apart or sticking. If using a springform pan, it is easier to remove. Variations include adding diced apples, chopped pecans, or chocolate chips.
